New in Cambridge : Brew on the Grind

I'm excited to try the newly-opened Brew on the Grind, now open in Cambridge! Today is their first day open at their new location and they are giving away a free cup of coffee to patrons arriving between 4 pm and 6 pm - definitely a great way to make a good first impression on the neighborhood! This is the first location outside of their Worcester home-base and they plan on a rapid expansion across the Boston-metro area over the next year or so: in addition to Worcester and Cambridge, new cafes will be opening in Lynn, Salem, and Marlborough by mid-2018.

More coffee = happier people, in my opinion.

I've passed this location numerous times, back when it was a small neighborhood market and more recently once the BREW signage was installed, and it is such a great spot to be in. The Central Square / Kendall Square area isn't exactly short on artisanal coffee shops, with Caffe Nero in Central and Tatte and Barismo in Kendall, but I'm happy to add one more.

There are plenty of great restaurants in the immediate vicinity and I think the addition of Brew on the Grind will round-out the food and beverage offerings on the block. A great day could start at Brew, followed by lunch at Naco Taco, afternoon games at A4cade, dinner at Craigie on Main (grab a seat at the bar and try their burger - but make sure you get there early!) and dessert at Toscanini. I know I'm looking forward to tasting some of their fresh-baked pastries and craft lattes, what about you?
